Removal of rear bumper –
.Remove any cable ties or cables which have been used as a secondary fixing for the rear bumper
.Unclip the rear exhaust springs and remove the exhaust if the exhaust mount is secured onto the rear bumper
.The rear bumper will be secured with either two nuts at each side or a Allen bolt, this securing method works by compressing a piece of rubber in the chassis rail, as you tighten the bolts or bolt the rubber expands securing the bumper
.To remove slacken off all nuts / bolts, DO NOT remove completely as it will be hard to remove the rubber from within the rear chassis rails, If you do un-tighten to far once you have removed the bumper use at the end of a metal coat hanger bent over to hook out the rubber
.Once the mounts are loose take a careful note of the order of any washers / alloy positions
.Pull backwards evenly on each of either side of the bumper pulling parallel with the chassis rails (to keep the rubber straight)
.Once the bumper is removed spray 20/40 or WD40 into the end of the chassis rails to add protection against rust
