Remove the sprocket carrier –
.Remove Sprocket side rear wheel
.Remove the sprocket
.Determine the size of allen key to undo the fixing bolt usually 6mm or 8mm
.Spray the axle and base of the sprocket carrier with 20/40 or WD40
.The sprocket carrier is now ready for removal
.Slide off the carrier
.If the carrier does not move Tape the carrier gently running the mallet along the axle to ensure you hit the carrier square on, if you do not have the space due to the bearing hanger then hold a small  length of timber  against the inside sprocket base taping the end of the timber with your mallet
.Carrier will start to move, if it doesn't use a flat wide blade screwdriver and tap between the machined break on the carrier, this will slightly open up the internal size of the carrier, which will aid removal
.Ensure you keep the axle key safe
