Removal of the seat –
1. The seat in all
normal applications is fitted to the chassis at four fixed positions and
sometimes they have
seat stays fitted for additional stiffness
2.Prior to removal locate all fixing points and determine
what spanner/allen sizes are required, take a note
as to what order and sequence all fixings / washers are in, as they are all usually unique
3.Start to detach the seat stays normally a 5
or 6mm Allen key and a 13mm Spanner
4.When each one is removed it is a good idea to slave the
nut/bolt/spacer/and washers together to aid when re-fitting
5.Detach the bottom seat fixing bolts , a
flexible head spanner will aid this operation
6.Detach the two remaining side seat fixing
bolts being extra careful not to lose any of the spacers
7.Seat can then be removed
