Removal of the fuel tank –
 
1. Before Starting ensure that all fuel has been removed and stored in an appropriate recommended storage media
2.Disconnect the fuel feed pipe from the fuel tank
3.Plug the pipe end using a thread 8mm bolt to stop any residual fuel leaking out
4.Disconnect the fuel pipe to the overflow bottle if fitted
Tanks is usually fitted with an 8mm retaining bolt and retaining plate
4.Remove fixing bolt and any tie wraps  with appropriate Allen he (this may have finger grips)
5.Tank will come away from the chassis
6.Dependant on Kart Type you may need to remove the floor tray to remove the tank
Alternatively the tank may be retained by the steering column supports
4.Slacken off the retaining bolt at the top of the steering column support
5.As the supports are slackened off the tank will be release
6.Holding firmly pull the tank from between the supports
7.Dependant on the Kart Type you may need to remove the floor tray to remove the tank
 
Note - CHECK THAT THERE ARE NO CRACKS OR SPLITS OR POTENTENTIAL WEAKNESSES ON THE TANK IF SO REPLACE.
