Installation of a new axle where all bearings and housings are retained on chassis

1.Ensure bearings and housings are clean and inspected for damaged and are in a loose condition and bearings are in good condition.
2.Understand the orientation of the axle as it has a keyway for the brake disc carrier.
3. Grease up the axle and slide into the first bearing, engine side first, this is where all the axle preparation pays off.
4. Don't forget that prior to the last bearing the brake disc carrier has to be slid over the axle and lined up with the key way.
5.Continue to slide the axle in and roughly line up equal - equal on the chassis.
6.Tighten up the bearing attachment bolts and set the axle.
7.Fit the grub screws and tighten up so they pinch the axle and stop it moving.
8.Check again the axle is equal-equal protruding either side and then fully tighten the grub screws
9. Then position the brake disc centrally within the calliper and tighten all previously loosened bolts, ensuring the carrier pinch bolt is the first one you tighten and then all the disc to carries.
10.The axle is now set ready for installation of sprocket carrier and hubs
